1: Our Launch in 1979

We weren’t always the large paving company we are today with a wide selection of high-quality tools and materials to handle any paving job. When Leon Slade and Elmo Chesley started the company in 1979, it was a small custom paving business.

Roadrunner Paving started by helping out others who needed paving work but who didn’t have the equipment to do it themselves. Some of our earliest projects included residential and arterial streets, parking lots and overlays.

When we started, we had access to only the larger paving equipment, such as a Blaw Knox paver. However, over the years, we have increased our capacity by adding different types of equipment. Once we purchased the Lee Boy 8500, we were able to take on smaller and tighter projects.

    5. Slurry Seal: Slurry seal is a mixture of asphalt emulsion, water, fine aggregate, and additives that’s applied to the surface to improve its condition.
